The Chief Operating Officer (COO) is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operational functions of the company. The COO will optimize the company's operating capabilities, employ strategies to maximize customer delivery and value, manage operational initiatives and team up with company leadership to implement business strategies. The COO will assist in compiling the company's budget, employ strategies to safeguard assets and lead the company’s team of high-performing operational professionals to be efficient, productive, and effective.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with CEO and executive team in setting and driving organizational vision, operational strategy, and hiring levels
• Translate strategy into actionable steps for growth, implementing goal setting, performance management, and annual operations planning
• Oversee company operations and employee productivity, building a highly inclusive culture that ensures team members can thrive and organizational outcomes are met
• Ensure effective recruiting, onboarding, professional development, performance management, and retention
• Analyze internal operations and identify areas for process enhancement
• Develop actionable business strategies and plans that ensure alignment with short-term and long-term objectives
• Monitor performance and take corrective measures when necessary, and prepare detailed current reports and forecasts
• Ensure that client contractual obligations are met, and value proposition is delivered, while maintaining operating margin goals
• Build and maintain trusting relationships with key customers, clients, partners, and stakeholders
• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Chief Operating Officer
• Demonstrable competency in strategic planning and execution
• Proven experience and expertise in risk adjustment for Medicare, Medicaid, and Commercial ACA
• Working knowledge of data analysis and performance/operation metrics
• Working knowledge of IT/Business infrastructure and MS Office
• Outstanding organizational and leadership abilities
• Excellent interpersonal and public speaking skills
• Aptitude in decision-making and problem-solving
• MSc/MA in business administration or equivalent experience

Required Relevant Experience

• Experience and expertise in delivering Risk Adjustment programs to clients in the United States
• Experience and expertise in HEDIS/Quality and Star Ratings
• Experience in delivering to payors and provider organizations
• Knowledge of the CMS and OIG regulatory environment
• Skill in managing AHIMA and AAPC medical record review staff
• Ability to travel and interact directly with clients and prospective clients
• Knowledge of data and reporting tools/infrastructure
• IPA management and knowledge
