Chemical Plating Operator/Technician (FT)
Job description
We are looking for a Chemical Plating Technician (For Warehouse / Manufacturing).
- Processes metal finishing jobs in accordance with written procedures, work instructions, drawings, production schedules, and plans.

- Possesses a sense of urgency while maintaining a high level of organization, attention to detail, and accuracy; takes pride in producing quality results.
- Operates chemical processing equipment, overhead electric hoist, and machinery.
- Accurately follows written procedures and instructions (process recipes) consisting of process steps including tank locations/make-ups, voltages/current, run times, temperatures, etc.
- Coordinates work and provide direction for racking and supporting personnel.
- Verifies count part numbers and process finish requirements for jobs entering the production area.
- Reads comprehends and carries out special requirements listed on job tickets and customer drawings.
- Organizes, checks, prepare, and racks parts for processing. Applies masking material if required.
- Has the ability to learn and retain the information contained in various specifications for metal finishing.
- Must be willing to work overtime when needed.
- Works in other areas as assigned.
- A High School diploma or GED is required.
- Has a minimum of 3 years experience in a similar factory production environment processing internal or customer orders using mechanical equipment or machinery.
- Lead experience is a plus.
- Previous overhead hoist operating experience is a plus.
- Previous forklift training and experience are a plus.
- Previous experience working in an ISO-regulated company is a plus.
- Has valid Florida driver's license Reliable transportation to and from work.
- Stands for long periods of time in an un-airconditioned manufacturing or warehouse environment.
- Temperatures in the work environment may fluctuate with outside weather and processing conditions.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs. Regularly lifts, loads, or carries mechanical parts.
- Is often exposed to wet/humid conditions, chemical fumes, or airborne particles.
- Noise levels are usually moderate but if exceeded, hearing protection is required.
- Use of personal safety equipment is required when necessary (goggles, gloves, respirators, hearing protection, etc.).
