JOB SUMMARY
Financial Controller will manage the company’s day-to-day accounting and finance requirements. Confidentiality, excellent organizational skills and accuracy are important qualifications for this position, as well as good customer relations and the ability to communicate clearly. The ideal candidate for this position is a skilled multi-tasker, is reliable and is committed to consistently meeting deadlines. Controller will directly report to Tide China CFO, and secondarily to Tie USA General Manager
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
A. Assist the CFO as necessary to oversee all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems ensuring compliance with appropriate GAAP standards and regulatory requirements.
B. Assist the CFO as necessary to maintain internal control and safeguards for receipt of revenue, costs, and program budgets and actual expenditures.
C. Assist the CFO and leadership as necessary in the annual budgeting and planning process; assist in reviewing all financial plans and compare to actual results with a view to identify, explain, and correct variances as appropriate.
D. Support the CFO in engaging the board’s audit and finance committees around issues and trends in financial operating models and delivery.
E. Assist the CFO as necessary in overseeing all financial, project/program accounting; ensure that expenditures are consistently aligned with program budgets throughout the fund period; collate financial reporting materials for state, county, and corporate requirements.
F. Assist the CFO as necessary in managing organizational cash flow forecasting by working in partnership with the program directors; continuously collaborate with program leadership to assess the financial efficacy of program operations and establish finance and administrative systems to support program operations.
G. Assist the CFO as necessary in managing and tracking the performance of invested assets in keeping with policies and investment guidelines.
H. In addition, he/she will partner with the CFO, senior leadership, and the human resources (HR) and information technology (IT) staff to enhance and better integrate finance, HR, and IT functions.
I. The Controller will assist the CFO in all day-to-day finance operations of Tide International USA, Inc. including functional responsibility over accounting, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
J. The Controller will assist the CFO to ensure that Tide International USA, Inc., has the systems and procedures in place to support effective program implementation and conduct flawless audits.
K. The Controller will work closely with the North American leadership and their staff, not only to educate them regarding finance and accounting procedures but also to explore how the finance function can support program operations.
L. Manage and lead the accounting functions, support the operation heads with information and analysis on improving operations and profitability, provide feedback to Tide China and Tide USA management on performance to budget and variances.
M. Develop metrics and analysis identifying areas for improvement. Regularly advise the CEO on underperforming operations and opportunities for improvement
N. Maintain accounting procedures and standards. Ensure records and systems are in accordance with appropriate standards, designed to mitigate risk, protect the company’s investment and provide safeguards for receipt of revenue, costs, program budgets and actual expenditures
O. Search for opportunities to improve the profitability of all operations and prepare reports to measure the success of these objectives including detailed variance analysis.
P. Review of general ledger and balance sheet
Q. Resolve various accounting/reconciliation issues
R. Financial reports: monthly, quarterly and annual reports, including but not limited to monthly and fiscal close, internal and external audit reporting, report preparation and distribution.
S. Maintain and review financial accounting best practices and policies
T. Supervise finance department employees and/or perform the following functions: financial reporting, accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger
U. Ensure accurate and timely dissemination of financial reports to Tide China including overseeing financial audits and compliance
V. Ensure that required debt payments are made on a timely basis
W. Assist in the setup of additional funds and joint ventures
X. Complete special projects as assigned
Y. Develop and enforce internal controls to maximize protection of company assets, policies, procedures, and workflow
Z. Oversee and support accounting team with dynamic leadership that creates an environment of trust and productivity

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
§ BS degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration
§ Experience with QuickBooks
§ Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable/receivable principles
§ Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records
§ Data entry skills along with a knack for numbers
§ 4-7 Years’ experience
§ Proficiency in Microsoft Office software, especially Excel
