Bon Secours Surgery Center at Harbour View is seeking a Full-Time Sterile Processing Technician . We are a busy multispecialty surgery center serving Northern Suffolk and an affiliate of United Surgical Partners International (USPI). USPI’s mission is to care for each patient and their family as if they were our own. Each patient, each family, each and every time.

The Sterile Processing Technologist cares for and maintains all surgical instrumentation and sets up supplies and instruments for surgery cases. He/she is responsible for all departmental functions in support of USPI’s mission, vision, and facility goals. This position establishes effective working relationships with all constituencies including patients, physicians, employees, volunteers and vendors.

Required Skills:
Qualifications:
Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent

Certifications: Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician preferred

Experience: 2 years’ Instrument Room Technician preferred

Ability to demonstrate good organizational skills and attention to detail

Good command of the English language, both verbal and written

Positive attitude and willingness to learn

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Independent decision making skills

Excellent customer service skills

Advocate of patient safety and quality of care

Ability to develop and maintain effective relationships
