Job description
Primary Function: To provide direct services to students in order to meet their physical, behavioral and educational needs. Reports to: Building Principal and School NurseResponsibilities: Supporting students in their day-to-day physical needs. This may include but is not limited to feeding, toileting, changing, dressing, assisting with physical management or transporting. Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans for students and monitor progress.Provide support for identified students both inside and outside the classroom to enable them to participate in activities.Assist in the administration of state/district wide assessmentsImplement special strategies as required by the supervisorMaintain confidentiality of student informationImplementing a student's behavior management plans and data collection.Providing small group or 1:1 instruction for students. Preparing instructional materials Following a teacher-led schedule and directions Effectively communicate and collaborate with colleagues Meets regularly with classroom teachers to evaluate student progress.All other duties as assigned200 day contract (prorated if the candidate's start date does not align with the start of the school year) Salary commensurate with experience.
