JOB OVERVIEW: Our well established company in Washington is seeking an experienced Certified Medical Dosimetrist for a permanent, full-time position that is partially remote. The successful candidate will have 2-5 years of clinical experience and the ability to demonstrate effective communication skills with physicians and other staff. Pinnacle experience is a must as well as Mosaiq. Competitive salary, vacation and great benefits package.
HOURS OF Work: 8 am to 4:30pm, Monday through Friday, or as necessary to carry out the responsibilities of this position.
PREREQUISITES: Must be a Certified Medical Dosimetrist (MDCB).
Licensures/Certifications: Certified through the Medical Dosimetrist Certification Board (MDCB)
QUALIFICATIONS: Current CMD in Good Standing, 2-3 year minimum experience as a Medical Dosimetrist preferred. Able to operate and assist with Windows Operating System. 3D, IMRT, SBRT Planning on Pinnacle Treatment Planning System, or Aria Treatment planning system.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
Unique Job Functions:
- Consults with Radiation Oncologist and provides information and dosimetry recommendations regarding positioning, simulation, CT, planning and treatment.
- Develops and designs an optimal computer generated treatment plan, including the planning and design of any treatment devices such as blocks, MLC’s, wedges, immobilization devices, compensators, bolus, molds, or casts as prescribed by the Radiation Oncologist. Is responsible for assuring physician approval prior to treatment.
- Participates with the implementation of the treatment plan including correct use of any treatment devices such as blocks, MLC’s, wedges, immobilization devices, compensators, and bolus placement.
- Consults in simulations, CT, block cutting, constructing immobilization devices and other technical procedures.
- Checks and validates that information on treatment plan is accurate and verifies that monitor units are correct with an independent monitor unit calculation.
- Transfers plan information by DICOM into Mosaiq and completes treatment field parameter entry and dosimetry. Verifies and approves treatment data entry into Mosaiq prior to treatment.
- Calculates IVD reading and fills out expected value on current IVD form.
- Accurately charges for treatment plan, devices, and calculations in Mosaiq.
- Attends weekly chart rounds.
- Keeps current with new and innovative planning techniques and new software releases.
- Provides assistance to the Medical Physicist when needed which may include weekly chart checks and QA procedures.
- Participates and coordinates development of new treatment planning techniques and programs with Manager and/or the Physicist, and is responsible for sharing information with fellow dosimetry staff.
- Participate in the training and orientation of radiation oncology physicians, radiation therapists, and other staff as needed.
· Provides feedback to manager for performance evaluations as requested.
- Has a full knowledge of the Radiation Oncology Department operations.
- Other duties as assigned by Radiation Oncologists, Chief Operating Officer, or Medical Physicists.

Pay: $48.07 - $61.50 per hour
