The Certified Medical Assistant - Acclaim performs various clinical and technical duties and tasks which includes assisting with direct and indirect treatment and care of adults, and geriatric patients.

Typical Duties:

  • Performs complete data collection of patient and other various duties and direct care with regard to age and developmental stage, presenting complaint, and pertinent history.
  • Completes documentation, meet current standards along with policies and procedures including documentation of all mandatory forms within the scope of the position.
  • Participates in quality improvement activities.
  • Assists with scheduling appointments.
  • Assists in preparing and maintaining clinic readiness including but not limited to maintaining neat, orderly and supplied exam rooms and sets up for procedures as indicated.
  • Sets up and assists with procedures.
  • Performs other job related duties as assigned.

Required Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.
  • Successful completion of a Medical Assistant training program.

Required Licensure/Certification/Specialized Training:

  • Current JPS recognized Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and must be maintained throughout employment.
  • Current certification from a national registry as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or a Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA).

  • Phone triage: 1 year (Preferred)

  • Spanish (Preferred)

License/Certification:

  • BLS Certification (Required)
  • CMA or CCMA certification (Required)
