<p>EMPLOYEE JOB DESCRIPTION Center Grind Lead Reports To: Production Supervisor FLSA Status: Non-Exempt SUMMARY: The Center Grind Lead is responsible setting up, running, and maintaining the machines used for grinding. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: * Sets up the grind machine * Runs the grind machine * Understands the programing of the grind machine * Reads and understands gauging of the parts being produced * Corrects any issues within the produced product, including required adjustments of the machines * Inspects the parts produced by the machine * Oversees the Center Grind Operators daily tasks and productivity schedule * Completes ongoing and new hire training for Center Grind Operators * Works directly with scheduler on the IQMS * Pulls paperwork required for jobs * Maintains daily scheduled maintenance on machines, including oils/MROs scheduling * Performs all other duties as assigned QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education and/or Experience – ; previous 2-3 years’ experience as a Center Lead Grinder, as well as an expert understanding of the functionality of the grinder machines. Language Skills – Ability to read, analyze, and interpret company documents. Ability to effectively present information to the Production Supervisor. Computer Skills – Intermediate level computer skills, including electronic mail, record keeping, routine IQMS activity, word processing, etc. Employee must understand the maintenance, repair, and complete functionality of the grinding machines. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, the individual must be able to remain in a moving position for 90 percent of the time while performing work. The individual needs to frequently move about the plant floor, position self near the ground to reach above head to retrieve materials and perform other daily tasks. This individual must occasionally move up to 50 pounds, occasionally up to 100 pounds. They occasionally operate a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, fax machine, and computer printer. They must be able to exchange accurate information with clients and others in the office while interacting. The individual must be capable of reviewing their work for errors and make adjustments as necessary. WORK ENVIRONMENT: While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is frequently exposed to wet moving mechanical parts; fumes or airborne particles within the plant floor. The noise level in the work environment is usually high. The individual occasionally works in a controlled climate. This position is required to wear appropriate PPE, including slip free shoes and glasses.
