HIRING: CDL DUMP TRUCK DRIVER

Layton Services is an excavation company that has been family-owned & operated for 30+ years. We specialize in site work (mass excavation, building pads, sub-grade prep) and underground utilities (water, sanitary, storm). We are located in Newark with majority of our work in Columbus, Ohio. We operate year-round Monday through Friday with some Saturday's. The ideal candidate should be able to work 40+ hours per week.

Open Position: We are looking for a CDL Dump Truck Driver to safely and efficiently operate a 6-axle dump truck hauling material on or off multiple job sites around Central Ohio. Requires a Class B CDL. Responsible for performing pre-and post-trip inspections. Must possess ability to adapt to unexpected traffic, soil conditions and weather. Safely operate and maneuver truck into loading and unloading positions. Prepare documents, logs and reports as required. Properly secure equipment and loads. Promptly report any vehicle defects or safety issues. This position is for individuals who are self-motivated, hard-working and committed to safety. (This may not include all of the duties assigned)

Education and/or Experience:

• Valid and Insurable Class B CDL (or Class A) required
• DOT Medical Card required
• 1+ years experience operating a 6-Axle Dump Truck
• Experience with hauling a trailer and equipment
• Ability to occasionally load and unload truck/ trailer using heavy equipment
• Trenching and excavating certificate (can obtain once hired)
• 10 hour OSHA certificate in construction (can obtain once hired)
• Ability to relate well to others, must possess a positive attitude and willingness to learn
