URM Stores, Inc. is looking for a talented Category Administrative Assistant to join our ever-growing team. As a Category Administrative Assistant, you will be responsible for bringing suppliers, producers and products identified by the Category Management team into all URM Stores tools and systems, such that those suppliers, producers, and products are operationalized for our category management, purchasing and operations teams.

The ideal candidate should have excellent oral and written communication skills and be able to organize their work using tools, like MS Excel and office equipment. Your Day-to-Day:

  • Help keep the department/team on track.
  • Maintain vendor/broker contacts.
  • Correct all group/subgroup issues with all items.
  • Create new item and discontinued item lists each month and responsible for creating a process to close the loop each month.
  • Work with our procurement department to make sure all items are setup and marked accordingly each month.
  • Run and send several different reports each month.
  • Be the vendor point of contact for all new item forms and images and make sure the vendors are filling them out correctly.
  • Take notes during our monthly ad groups meetings.
  • Communicate with the warehouse ahead of time to confirm slot space for specific categories.
  • Monitor price changes and promotional changes from vendors.
  • Make minor schematic updates to keep them up to date (training will be provided).
  • Performs high-level, administrative work, including frequent clerical work organizing, scheduling, coordinating, researching, compiling, exchanging, and analyzing information.
  • Provides analytical support to Director and our Category Managers.
  • Answer and direct phone calls; organize and schedule appointments.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of previous office experience using, phone, computer & customer service & multi-tasking skills.
  • Data driven – curious about what insights can be derived from numbers.
  • Highly adaptable – you thrive in a fast-paced, high-change and dynamic work environment.
  • Familiarity and/or willingness to learn about grocery industry products.
  • Can work well with others, with good interpersonal abilities.
  • Efficient in Excel, Word, Outlook, and other basic computer programs.
  • Organized and detail-oriented with an ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines consistently.
  • Experience with SAP Business Objects BI reporting, space planning software and AS400 preferred.
  • Comfortable communicating with different departments and stakeholders.
  • Able and willing to work 100% on-site.
