Cats in the City, in Portland Oregon is looking for a cat loving professional looking for growth and opportunity with the most respected cat care team in the business.
If you can provide consistently high-quality customer service in a cat boarding facility, have great communication skills, are a problem solver in person or on the phone, you’re the person we’re looking for.
This is a full-time position
Pay: $18 to $25 per hour (based on your experience)

Schedule:
- 8-hour shift

Your cat care duties:
- Applying flea treatment
- Providing food and water
- Monitoring food intake and elimination
- Providing medication as instructed
You also provide:
- Highly professional and personal phone call, email, reservation and in person customer support processes
- Team leadership inside and outside the building
- Welcoming and guiding customers graciously through our services
- Following up, relationship building
- Responsible for explaining policies, explaining fees positively, handling payment transactions
- Managing and providing cat care updates to clients, managing photo library, keeping boarding records, and organizing correspondence
- Keeping the facility spotlessly clean (our reputation), scooping litter boxes, managing the maintenance of the grounds
- You are required to have an Oregon Driver’s License so that you can provide pet shuttles using our vehicles and your vehicle
- Able to lift 50lbs
- Able to climb 50 flights of stairs daily
The right candidate possesses or strives to gain experience caring for and working with cats in a kennel, grooming facility, veterinary office, or similar professional environment. Experience in customer service customer service is a plus, as well as education, training, degrees, certificates, or work experience in kennel management, pet grooming, veterinary office care, or other relevant fields.
Must be able to work weekends and holidays. Our busiest times are when our clients need us the most.
