Cashier/ Retail Sales Associate -

What Duties to Expect as a Sales Associate:

• Have a willingness to SERVE
• Provide prompt, courteous service to staff and customers alike
• Operate the cash register accurately and handle cash and other accepted payment for products sold.
• Maintain all of the self-service offerings such as coffee and fountain drinks.
• Actively participate in company promotions and upsell opportunities.
• Be aware of and adhere to all local, state, and federal laws that affect store operations.
• Address customer complaints in a positive manner, document and work with management to resolve.
• Ensure that the store is clean of trash and spills, and that all equipment is sanitized and in working condition.
• Facing front merchandise on the shelves.
• Checking perishable item's dates for freshness and properly rotate stock.
• Check identification per company policy for alcohol and tobacco sales.
• Follow company policy for safety, theft reduction and violence prevention.
• Have a strong desire to SERVE your fellow staff and customers.

Expected Qualifications Excellent customer service skills

• Basic math and counting ability
• Ability to learn quickly on the job without heavy supervision
• Excellent communication skills
• A willingness to work a flexible schedule and go above and beyond for your fellow employees
