Job description
The Cash Receipts Coordinator will assist in the prompt and accurate posting of client payments and credits in a timely manner, monitor bank account activity daily, and research unidentified and unapplied transactions.

Responsibilities
  • High volume processing of daily cash receipts, wire transfers, lockboxes, credit card payments and retainer applications
  • Processing write offs as directed
  • Processing client refunds, duplicate payments
  • Maintain local trust account cash posting and disbursements
  • Scan all incoming checks to local lockboxes
  • Respond to internal, client inquiries related to accounts receivable balances, refund checks, stale-dated refund checks, receipt allocations, wire transfers and retainer applications
  • Prepare and input journal entries
  • Complete special projects, reporting and analysis as needed
  • Handle W-9 and new client set up requests
  • Daily liaison with other members of the Cash Receipts team and back-up necessary job functions as needed to support the department
Job QualificationsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
  • Demonstrated working knowledge in Word, Excel or similar spreadsheet program
  • Ability to use ten-key calculator
  • Ability to deal professionally and communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing, with both internal and external clients on all levels
  • Ability to work overtime up to six (6) hours per week
  • Requires the ability to regularly report to work on the days and times scheduled
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks to meet deadlines
  • Keen attention to detail and effective organizational skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other team members
