Description

The Cash Application Specialist will be responsible for the daily application/reconciliation of cash receipts for credit card, ACH, wire and lockbox transactions, reviews posting to ensure payment is applied appropriately, reconciliations and money transfers.

Key Responsibilities

Cash Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Cash duties including booking all daily cash activity via journal entry
  • Understands the function of correctly posting cash and performing General Ledger transfers
  • Ability to work in multiple ERP systems with basic understanding of money transference
  • Ability to work and understand multiple bank accounts
  • Daily reconciliation of daily cash posting to daily bank deposit.
  • Solid understanding of remit information from a customer payment
  • Excellent Data Entry Skills with extremely high accuracy rate
  • Excellent reconciliation and research skills
  • Ability to understand the use of multiple email inboxes and their functions

Other Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist with month-end close, reporting.
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment and gets along well with others
  • Must be able to interface with internal and external auditors as required.
  • Ability to think creatively and make complex decisions
  • Reconcile customer accounts as needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Physical Job Requirements:

  • Must be willing to work long hours and weekends if necessary.
  • Must be able to perform well under pressure.
  • Must be able to sit for prolonged periods of time and can look at a computer for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to maintain a professional demeanor within a very hectic work environment.
  • Can learn quickly and work well with minimal supervision
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • 2-year degree or 2 years of equivalent experience
  • Expertise in Excel and experience with modular accounting systems.
  • Must have strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to plan, prioritize and complete projects within mission critical deadlines.
  • Excellent customer service skills, in person, on the phone and in writing.
  • Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
  • Ability to proficiently read, write and speak English.
  • Pass pre-employment drug screen and all pre-employment testing.
  • Aviation awareness a plus.
