J&J Snack Foods Corporation is an American manufacturer, marketer, and distributor of branded niche snack foods and frozen beverages for the food service and retail supermarket industries. Its products include such icons as SUPERPRETZEL and ICEE, fan favorites like Luigi’s Italian Ice, The Funnel Cake Factory Funnel Cakes, and Tio Pepe’s Churros, as well as a host of other products spanning the baked goods, frozen beverages, and frozen novelties categories.

The scope of the position is limited to the work duties, responsibilities, and other tasks that are exclusively assigned by and at the sole discretion of management (as outlined below).

Will work with collections team to ensure all monies received are accurately applied to correct customer accounts in a timely manner-meeting all weekly and monthly deadlines.

· Accurately apply payments including credit cards, cash transactions, lockbox receipts, electronic payments

· Balance daily cash received to cash posted/work unapplied items assigned

· Research and resolve payment discrepancies/comfortable working with remittances

· Investigate and resolve issues related to misapplied payments

· Reconcile on a daily basis - AR/ Cash accounts to ensure cash is applied accurately and efficiently

· Analyze and process deductions, short-pays, refunds, and write-offs

· Assist in different areas of cash according to the needs of the team.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

· Strong excel skills and remittance knowledge

· 10-key numerical data entry

· Strong understanding of cash application process/analytical skills required.

· Demonstrated ability to independently identify research and solve problems

· Must be able to work independently as well as part of a team

· Ability to multitask and manage time amid multiple deadlines

· Must be reliable and willing to learn

· Good communication and customer service skills

· Escalates issues preventing accurate cash application to management

· 2+ years of cash application processing in a high volume environment

· JDE Software knowledge a plus and highly preferred but not required.
