The City of Keene is now accepting applications for a Caseworker to work in our Youth Services Department! This contract position is 20 hours per week with a pay rate of $15- $16 per hour depending on experience and qualifications and offers a flexible schedule, with some evening hours required.

Under the direction of the Youth Services Manager, this position is responsible for managing Juvenile Court Diversion cases and Juvenile Conference Committee schedules. Working alongside the Youth Services Manager, the Caseworker will create and implement substance use prevention programs and intervention curriculums for court-involved youth and youth who are at risk of being court-involved. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently, will be self-motivated and have great communication skills!

Specific duties include, but are not limited to:
~ Case manage Juvenile Court Diversion and Youth Intervention Program cases.
~ Oversee the Juvenile Conference Committee and their schedules to ensure that there is an appropriate number of members per meeting.
~ Assist in creating community outreach programs for educational opportunities and increase the visibility of programs and events through social media and outreach.
~ Collaborate with multiple agencies to perform community engagement with Youth Services programs.
~ Document information regarding cases by entering data on set trackers.
~ Work with local high schools to ensure programs are effectively running.

Requirements:
~ Associate"s degree or equivalent in education in the fields of Psychology, Sociology, Criminal Justice, Human Services or similar and/or experience working with at-risk youth and the Juvenile Justice System.
~ A driver"s license is required.
~ Ability to communicate effectively with youth, families and the general public.
