We are looking for competent Caregivers to join our team! The ideal candidate would be responsible for caring for our patients in a professional and compassionate manner.
San Dimas Retirement Center is nestled in the base of the beautiful San Gabriel Mountains, just West of the 57 freeway. Our unique locations provide ways to access Los Angeles, the Inland Empire, beaches and mountains, yet maintain the peacefulness of suburban living.
Caregiver Requirements
- Vaccinated against Covid-19 including Booster and present proof
- Flexible schedule & Full-Time availability
- Must clear Live Scan background check
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Authorized to work in the United States
Primary Caregiver Responsibilities
- Assist clients with ambulation and mobility around the facility (to activities, to dining room, walks etc.)
- Assist clients with personal care and hygiene
- Assist feeding and bathing residents
- Perform light housekeeping duties that clients can’t complete on their own
- Provide increased assistance to residents with dementia or in memory care unit
- Be a pleasant and supportive companion
- Report any unusual incidents
- Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency
Other Caregiver Skills - Experience as a caregiver preferred but not required
- Excellent knowledge of emergency response and first aid and CPR
- Knowledge of housekeeping activities and dietary constraints
- Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards
- Respectful and compassionate
- Good time management skills
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
PAY SCALE:
Depending on a number of factors, including, but not limited to location, regularly scheduled work shift, knowledge, skills, experience, and expertise.
