UCCR is a premier facilities management provider for owners of non-profit camps, conference and retreat centers across the country. Much of this success is due to the on-site leaders (Site Directors) we hire and develop to work successfully in partnership with the sites’ owners and customer groups.

NEEDED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND WILLINGNESS
Camp Operations Management (Site Director) is the primary hands-on maintenance staff member with ability to troubleshoot, repair and install basic equipment replacement parts. Candidates should have thorough understanding and hands-on experience with:
- Capital expenditure planning and analysis.
- HVAC systems.
- Septic systems.
- Drinking water treatment, distribution and related health department testing protocols and mitigation.
- Commercial and residential building systems troubleshooting (electrical, plumbing, carpentry), standard repairs ability, and experience pulling permits.
- Responsible for all onsite risk management.
- Grounds-keeping: tree & shrubbery maintenance, watering systems, retreat pathways and roadways maintenance, and signage.
Hospitality | Food Service
- Proven record of delivering excellent customer service in a similar setting.
- Adult, college, HS and young guest services, and housekeeping.
- Food Service: direct experience cooking in a retreat, commercial or institutional setting is required including food safety, dietary restrictions, cross-contamination and allergen understanding. Cost-effective ordering and managing food cost percentages is critical.
Administration
- Non-profit revenue / expense management, budgeting, insurance and risk management. These items require daily use of Excel, NetSuite, and online credit card expense reporting.
- Business licensing and permit management.
- Staff administration including scheduling, payroll timecard management, staff recruitment, development and team building.
- Property owner relations and customer group outreach.
Qualifications
- Experience in building facilities maintenance is an absolute.
- Living onsite is required.
- Ten years combined experience in camp, retreat and conference facility operations (food service, buildings, grounds, and equipment).
- Five years’ demonstrated experience in personnel supervision.
- Current Food Service Handlers Certification (or the ability to obtain).
- Hold valid driver’s license and insurable driving record.
- Background check clearance is required.
- Current Lifeguard Certification (or the ability to obtain) is a plus.
- First Aid/CPR/AED Certification (or ability to obtain) is desireable.
- COVID vaccination is expected.
