OBJECTIVES/

PURPOSE OF JOB

Perform calibrations of process and laboratory instrumentation. Efficient troubleshooting and repair of instruments and electronic equipment. Ensure accurate completion of documentation. This is a second shift position, Monday through Friday, 3:00pm to 11:30pm, with rotating weekend coverage (every third weekend), as required.

KEY ACTIVITIES/

RESPONSIBILITIES

Perform calibration of instruments and electronic equipment in facility (temperature/humidity, mass, scales/balances, pipettes, pneumatic, physical/dimensional, torque, and other various electronic equipment).

Ensure proper and accurate completion of all documentation.

Establish calibration procedures for new equipment.

Facilitate work schedule.

Maintain GMP, ISO, FDA, and SOP training compliance.

Abide by PPE and good housekeeping procedures.

Assume responsibility for GMP, ISO, environmental health and safety procedure awareness, compliance within the respective area.

Understanding and knowledge of PLC and control system logic.

Ability to climb stairs; climb on equipment such as tanks. Moderate to heavy lifting (25kg).

Thorough understanding of calibration concepts and requirements including accuracy, precision, and testing requirements.

Good troubleshooting skills.

Ability to support for Non-Conformance Investigations, Impact Assessments, and/or Risk Assessments for instruments or equipment found Out of Tolerance.

Experienced and efficient with IBM Maximo and Blue Mountain RAM database (desired).

Working knowledge of MS Office suite.

Reliable, confident, eager to learn, and enjoys working with people.

Able to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment and able to change priorities, as required.

QUALIFICATIONS/

TRAINING

This position requires Aseptic Gowning Certification.

Project management and leadership abilities.

Experience with IBM Maximo and Blue Mountain RAM software systems (desired).

Logical approach to troubleshooting, calibration, and repair of equipment.

Good organizational skills.

Good verbal and written communication skills.

Must be detailed oriented and quality conscious.

Must be able to respond to emergencies (on-call support is required).

Must be capable of working in the aseptic environment.

Minimum of 2 years applicable industry experience (Military Technical School, PMEL, TMDE, or METCAL experience desired).

2-year degree in a technical field (desired).
