Purpose:
Reporting to the Manager of Purchasing and Planning, the Buyer will be responsible for performing purchasing activities to ensure the timely material delivery for the manufacturing of our products for our customers.
Duties and job requirements include, but are not limited to:
· Manage activities related to the scheduled procurement of material, mechanical and/or electronic components and equipment.
· Monitor purchase orders for accurate ERP (Syteline) transactions and ensures material is received on time to support production requirements
· Manage On Time Delivery of purchase orders
· Respond to Engineering Change Orders as they pertain to procurement and assigned purchased commodities
· Manage Material Rejects and Returns
· Work in accordance with all legislated requirements to ensure employee safety, health and wellness.
· Generate and analyze ERP (Syteline) reports
· Generate and analyze data through Excel
· Provide support to the Purchasing, Engineering and Manufacturing Teams
Qualifications:
· Degree in Business and/or Supply Chain Management preferred.
· Minimum 5 years’ Purchasing experience, preferably in manufacturing environments
· PMAC, APICS or ASCM accreditation an asset
· Experience with an MRP system; with Syteline experience preferred.
· Excellent oral, written and interpersonal skills
· Ability to work well both in a team environment as well as independently.
· Excellent knowledge of Excel, Word, and Office Suite 2010

Salary: $47,789.47 - $65,000.00 per year
