Job Overview

The Business Process Solutions Specialist scope of responsibilities is to ensure that the new systems are used to their full capability. The Business Process/Solution Specialist is responsible for helping implement and maintain technology solutions that support the strategic direction of the company cost-effectively by determining the requirements of a project or program and communicating them clearly to stakeholders, facilitators, and partners. This position has the primary responsibility for ensuring a smooth transition between the current core/digital banking systems and the new systems. Responsible for serving as a liaison between teams and business end-users to ensure we are delivering the right solutions at the right time. Will work with the business teams to identify business requirements, prioritize the projects, and work with technology teams to define technical solutions and ensure agile processes and practices are followed.

Skills and Experience

  • Education-Associates degree in a business-related field or equivalent combination of education and experience, with project management preferred.
  • Experience in programs; Credit Union applications, PDF, and MS Excel
  • Minimum three (3) years of financial institution experience.
  • Demonstrated success in critical thinking and investigative experience solutions Experience in user testing and project management preferred
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, well-versed in presentation styles, excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Ability to communicate company goals and needs
  • Ability to quickly learn new systems and IT solutions, software, and platforms.

Role Description and Primary Duties:

  • Elicit requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, task, and workflow analysis.
  • Improves systems by studying current practices; designing modifications. Assist in creating and updating process maps and performing gap/trend analysis.
  • Leverage relationships within and across all functional areas to align workflows, create consistent approaches, and foster best practices to proactively seek opportunities to improve performance.
  • Work closely with the Training and Quality team to ensure that procedures are relevant, correct, and efficient to provide red carpet service to our members both internal and external.
  • Coordinate and schedule project meetings and release schedules to keep all active players informed and involved. Keep up with the implementation of new tool functionality through training sessions, demos, and the development of appropriate documentation.
  • Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish between wants and needs.
  • Proactively communicate and collaborate with external and internal customers to analyze information needs and functional requirements. Be the liaison between the business units, technology teams, and support teams. Test and communicate application releases.
  • Identifies opportunities for improvement and defines the issues: identifies objectives: considers current procedures and measures performance: recommends and implements optimal solutions; measures observed improvements: drafts documents and reports.
  • Review documents outlining processes regularly. Identify outdated language and communicate inconsistencies in language to identify an appropriate resolution.
  • Ensures the management of changes; proposes solutions to achieve objectives; facilitates the implementation of continuous improvement projects; supports employees and the management team; provides training. Provide tier 1 training to internal help desk employee(s).
  • Act as subject matter expert in the implementation of new approaches, streamlining processes, and creating efficiencies while identifying the optimal blend of measurement and analytic techniques. Train support staff to provide excellent support to business units to resolve questions, and quick problem resolution. Work closely with other business units to ensure the credit union stays compliant with local and federal regulations.
