What You’ll Do

The organization is seeking a Business Operations Manager to join our Worldwide Commercial Finance Operations team. You will play a key role in enabling financial deal review through policy, process, and tools. Our WW CF Ops team plays a vital role in keeping Cisco compliant, building and streamlining processes and tools to improve deal quality and cycle time, optimizing user experience while maintaining focus on improving shareholder value. The responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

Project management (formally and informally) and advocating Commercial Finance partner priorities

Drive and govern project management processes, scope delivery, change management activities including but not limited to partner identification, change impact assessments, communications, and training activities, etc.

Collaborate with partners to solicit and document business requirements, clarify priorities, implementation needs, challenges, and risks/opportunities; assist in building user stories and providing support on acceptance testing

Host ongoing reviews with Commercial Finance partners, Finance Transformation Office (FTO), Digital Enterprise Solutions (DES/IT), and various other teams to ensure regular communication of timelines, deliverables, and responsible parties.

Assist in preparation of communications about CF Ops work to the broader organization (e.g., newsletters, CF Knowledge Center, speaking at meetings)

Engage in Enterprise projects and Optimize the Business (OTB) improvements as a participant or leader based on the scope

Maintain focus on compliance and controls

Assist in driving the evolution of Cisco’s financial strategy including operationalization of recurring offers, calculation of pertinent financial metrics, sales strategies, and platform consolidation/transformation

Serve as Subject Matter Expert (SME) to partners and team members for your areas of expertise

Help teams to remove roadblocks and deliver high-value results

Who You’ll Work With

As part of Commercial Finance Operations, you will interact with a wide range of Finance and non-Finance functions. Also with BU Finance, Compliance, Corporate Revenue, the Finance Transformation Office (FTO), Digital Enterprise Solutions (DES) team to name a few. Your participation in projects will provide additional exposure to various teams across Cisco. Establishing relationships within Finance and supporting teams will be imperative to your success.

Who You Are

You are a trusted advisor for Finance, Sales, and Business Units, driving cross-functional discussions and providing subject matter expertise and data analysis on the non-standard deal process, policies, and tools. You have:

Financial competence, with experience to back it up, will provide guidance during Cisco’s critical financial transformation

Understanding of Cisco’s internal policies, processes, and procedures

Strong relationship-building skills and experience working closely with the customer and cross-functional partners to deliver key initiatives; you may work horizontally, vertically and across the Cisco matrix

Compliance attitude, ability to consider and call out areas of risk

Ability to work with, communicate and influence all levels of leadership across the organization

Strong oral and written communication skills and ability to present content/updates to a wide variety of audiences

Ability to adapt to a changing environment with the intention to optimize the use of resources

Minimum requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting

5+ years’ experience in Finance or Accounting

Confirmed Program/Project Management experience, knowledge of project and change management methodologies, techniques, and processes

Ability to understand business needs and translate them into technical requirements and vice versa

Experience with quoting and pricing tools, CCW/CCW-R/CPQ and MDM preferred

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

Experience developing/maintaining/handling internal company tools is a plus
