Responsibilities and duties
This position is responsible for all business related activities for Arcadia Senior Living including office management and record keeping, accounts receivable, accounts payable, handing incoming calls, front desk receptionist, maintaining compliance with all regulatory standards and communicating with Arcadia Senior Living staff on all appropriate matters.
Office Management and Record Keeping
All tasks associated with month-end closing will be followed and submitted to Arcadia Senior Living in a timely manner. The Business Office Manager will assist in orienting new residents and making sure that all signatures are obtained on rental agreements prior to residency. Additionally, the Business Office Manager will be responsible for ordering & replenishing office supplies, handling of petty cash, oversee credit card processing, and ensuring all outgoing mail is metered and sent out daily. The Business Office Manager will assign email addresses & phone extensions (if applicable) for newly hired employees. This includes keeping a master file of these items and send out to all staff as needed.
Accounts Receivable
Business Office Manager is responsible for keeping the Executive Director abreast of any late payments in accordance with Arcadia Senior Living Policies on late payments. The Business Office Manager works closely with the Executive Director in providing Arcadia Senior Living with proper documentation on late payments and with the issuing of proper correspondence to those who are late in paying for services rendered. The Business Office Manager is responsible for proper documentation of received payments and with depositing rent checks appropriately.
Accounts Payable
The Business Office Manager works closely with the Executive Director in proper coding of invoices and maintaining up-to-date declining balance sheets. Weekly submittals to Arcadia Senior Living will be made to correspond with Arcadia Senior Living policies on payables.
Requirements
- English language skills adequate to allow communication with residents and staff, and to understand written and verbal instructions
- High School diploma
- Three years of business office management experience
- Compassion and caring disposition for senior adults
- Must hold a valid driver’s license
- Willing to work the assigned shift, some weekends, and holidays
- Experience with Eldermark billing software and ADP workforce management a plus
Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
