Job Summary: Consider joining the Metal Exchange family as a Business Intelligence Specialist, Cloud-Based Systems in our IT department. In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to create and manage reports and related data visualizations that draw on the company’s enterprise data repositories. The Business Intelligence Specialist may also be responsible for the processing of data from transactional systems into secondary reporting repositories such as operational data stores, data warehouses, datamarts, etc.

Responsibilities of the Role:

• Teamwork: Participate in daily stand-ups with IT colleagues; planning and executing sprints as a member of an Agile-based team.
• Analysis: Work directly with end-users to analyze and validate reporting requirements.
• Design: Collaborate with members of the IT department in the design of ETL and related tools for the centralization and aggregation of company data. Also, collaborate with IT team on the design and development standards for presentation layer tools, technologies.
• Development: Create the agreed-upon reports and data visualizations using primarily Microsoft tools and technologies.
• Support: Update and troubleshoot reporting tools based on feedback from end-user community.

Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• Education
  • Required: High School Diploma or GED
  • Desired: Undergraduate degree in technical discipline or related training
• Experience
  • Required: Minimum of 3 years' experience in report development
• Other required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Experience using Microsoft Power BI strongly desired, or similar presentation tool such as Tableau
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics 365 or Microsoft Azure-based data management frameworks
  • Moderate to strong aptitude with Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel
  • High degree of experience, skill writing T-SQL
  • Experience using Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States; visa sponsorships are not available
