Essential Functions and Primary Duties
- To assist and support management with business development and marketing initiatives
- Position requires experience in the legal or family law industries
- Organize, execute, and support Firm-sponsored programs, conferences, webinars, and receptions for clients and prospective clients in the region
- Identify and leverage event and sponsorship opportunities and oversee/prepare related materials and presentations
- Coordinate and manage pre-planning and debriefing meetings with management and define and measure event metrics
- Develops appropriate mailing/invitation lists
- Creates event invitations in collaboration with management and/or marketing team
- Assist with drafting and reviewing professional staff biographies and pitch materials
- Liaise with management to produce and distribute client communications, including new announcements, invitations, and newsletters.
- Drafts news for Firm website, intranet, and internal communications
- Help identify relevant state/regional speaking and other credentialing opportunities for the management team and assist in the production of required materials.
- Point of contact for publications and responsibility for publication deadlines.
- Supports special projects as requested by the Lead Managing Director and other professional staff.
- Assist training professional staff on LinkedIn and other available marketing required tools.
- Additional responsibilities as assigned
Preferred Qualifications:
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in marketing, communications, or event planning.
- Strong computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office suite and Adobe Acrobat.
- General understanding of the legal competitive landscape
- Professional services marketing experience
- Ability to lead or support multiple programs in the office or region
Minimum Qualifications Required
- High school diploma or GED
- Demonstrates the ability to communicate verbally and in writing throughout all levels of organization, both internally and externally
- Effective customer service skills
- Proficient use of applicable technology
- Ability to work in team environment as well as independently
- Ability to analyze and prioritize multiple responsibilities
