Position Title: Business Development Manager
Salary: $60K - $65K
Position Profile:
The Business Development Manager is responsible for new business development through lead generation, client contacts, and client meetings resulting in new business wins and continued cultivation of the client. We take the time to build relationships with our clients, so that we are truly able understand what they need and how we can help them to succeed.
The Business Development Manager will exercise discretion and independent judgment with respect to matters of significance that are directly related to the management and operation of the business, including:
Primary Responsibilities:
- Embody Spherion Mission, Vision, and Core Values
- Complete all required Spherion role based training
- Execute the Spherion Operating Model and SSP as a best practice
- Document all activity and communication in Staffing Connect
- Participate in and prepare for weekly team calls, sales coaching sessions, sales meetings, client planning, client reviews and sales pipeline review
Prospect Management:
- Research new companies and complete pre-call planning
- Source and identify company contacts
- Execute new business development calls
- Schedule and execute new joint client meetings with BDM and VP
Client Management:
- Schedule and execute new client meetings
- Execute Ad and Lead calls
- Execute TAP program/Marketing Campaigns
- Develop and maintain a sales pipeline, facilitate RFPs, agreements, Client Business Reviews (CBRs)
- Solution development
- Price business in alignment with market pricing strategy
- Partner with Strategic and National Accounts as necessary
- Ensure client quality control
- Influence and participate in market strategy
Relationship/Team Building:
- Participate in morning huddles with branch team to ensure alignment with recruiting and sales initiatives
- Be a champion of the Spherion brand by joining and participating in networking groups/events in the local market
