The Role
The Business Application Manager will be part of the Business Application Management (BAM) team within the Global IT department, based out of Princeton, New Jersey reporting to the BAM Lead (Lab). In this role, you will support and maintain critical business applications while maintaining compliance with applicable procedures and regulatory requirements. You will collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure continued steady state operations of such business applications.

Responsibilities
  • Support the BAM technical lead for a variety of IT applications used by the Translation Research department, specially but not limited to the Digital Pathology group.
  • Responsible for the oversight, management and future state of R&D applications including Concentriq, Halo, Visiopharm, LIMS, ELN and other miscellaneous lab supporting systems as needed.
  • Responsible for managing day-to-day application support, including (but not limited to) resolution of systems issues, and troubleshooting of various business applications.
  • Support the application system owners and super-users within Genmab to provide support for the business users of business application related issues or requests.
  • Must possess a strong ability to balance structure & discipline with agility in the support of solutions.
  • Ability to triage, process, communicate, escalate, and resolve assigned application-related tickets using Service Now or similar solution(s).
  • Contribute to all phases of solution delivery and support: identification, evaluation, implementation, testing, and support to meet business requirements.
  • Experience in liaising with third party vendor managed services where required to support the application portfolio and integration layer. Experience with KPI performance monitoring and SLA management across internal service desk and support vendors.
  • Interact and partner with business users, infrastructure teams, and security/QA in the operation and maintenance of business applications across several business units.
  • Work within the GxP regulatory framework and update the relevant documentation following applicable departmental procedures.
  • Provide periodic reports on tasks, and vendor issues/SLAs to the Business Application Management (BAM) Lead.
  • Assist with prioritization, categorization, and remediation of any production deviations and CAPAs.
  • Support root cause analysis, in collaboration with other cross-functional stakeholders to identify potential solutions to issues and to prevent future problems.
  • Contribute to knowledge base articles, templates, reusable artifacts.
This person will be based out of Princeton, NJ and will be onsite 60% of the time.

Requirements
  • A scientific/technical degree level qualification (e.g., Engineering, Computer Science, Life Science).
  • 5 to 10 years’ experience coordinating application-based activities within a life science focused organization.
  • Demonstrated history of successfully working with business users. Ability to effectively interpret a business problem into a technical solution and articulate it back to the business stakeholders.
  • Experience with the Application Lifecycle from initiation through decommission for a broad range of business applications.
  • Agile methodology and DevOps experience is a plus.
  • Experience with or knowledge of Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning tools is a benefit.
  • Knowledge of the ITIL framework and working in a ticket/SLA based environment (ServiceNow, JIRA, Service Manager etc.)
  • Experience working with GxP regulations, procedures. Particularly around change management, periodic reviews and internal audits.
  • Experience in and ability to thrive in ambiguous situations and delivery value in a dynamic environment.
  • Conceptual and analytical thinker; able to understand, analyze, and synthesize complex business and technology issues and strategies.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills, strong personal integrity, and teamwork abilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written English language skills at a professional business level.
