Job description
Valid Texas driver’s license, CDL with passenger endorsment. Acceptable driving record Ability to pass DOT physical and drug and alcohol test upon completion of training
Bus drivers will provide safe transportation of students to and from school. Obey all traffic laws. Observe mandatory bus safety regulations. Maintain discipline when students are on the bus. Document and report students’ disciplinary problems. Adhere to the regular route schedule and stops assigned. Check bus, before each operation, for mechanical defects. Notify the proper authority in case of mechanical failure or lateness. Discharge students only at authorized stops. Report all accidents and complete required reports. Attend in-service training programs as requested. Correct unsafe conditions that may exist in the work area that could cause an accident. Any conditions that are not correctable by you are to be reported to the supervisor immediately. Know and practice the proper safety procedures in operating machinery and equipment as required for the job. Know and practice safety techniques in lifting, climbing, and performing other job duties. Other duties as assigned by the supervisor or designee.
