We are searching for a Facility Manager who has a heavy background in building maintenance, to oversee the capital management and preventative maintenance, janitorial, landscaping, security, and logistics & transportation for an established private school in The Plains, VA. Position Responsibilities
- Ensures the effective management and integration of contract services to include janitorial, landscape, electrical, general building maintenance, mechanical, HVAC, building automation, plumbing, electrical, etc.
- Responsible for overall team management, staff development and planning. Execute staff succession and growth plans.
- Develop and maintain effective client and customer rapport for mutually beneficial relationship.
- Deliver excellent customer service. Identify client needs and communicate operational progress.
- Develop strong level of trust and credibility regarding technical competency. Provide technical expertise in all areas.
- Customize programs based on specifications and unique client needs.
- Will represent the highest integrity and ethics in business transactions upholding company policies and procedures.
- Coordinates both the routine and emergency repair and maintenance of commercial properties.
- Develops and maintains a detailed annual operating budget, operational reports, cost analysis and forecasts.
- Supports, ensures and reviews an active and comprehensive unit safety program.
- Continuously seeks to improve the quality of assigned activities.
- Comprehensive predictive/preventive maintenance
- Emergency coordination for response maintenance
- Proven track record of successful Facilities Management leadership experience as demonstrated by documented results and accomplishments.
- Strong technical knowledge of the following: janitorial, landscape, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and energy management.
- Demonstrated business and financial acumen with a strong P&L management
- Proficient in operating a variety of general computer software programs such as Microsoft Office suite and or Google Suite
- Leadership skills with a focus on staff development and team building
- Bachelor’s degree in business, facilities management, civil engineering or related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience such as Certified Facilities Manager (CFM)
