The Hampton Inn & Suites Puyallup is looking for a Part-time Breakfast Attendant to join our team. We are managed by Puget Sound Hospitality which owns and operates five hotels in the Puget Sound area.

The details
Salary: $17.50 per hour
Location: 1515 South Meridian, Puyallup, WA 98371.
Commute/Transportation: We are located on a major bus route, and we offer a discounted annual ORCA pass. If you prefer to drive, we have free employee parking on site.
Benefits: Our benefits package is available to full-time employees after they complete 60 days of employment. This package includes medical, dental, vision, life, and AD&D. We also have six paid holidays.
PTO is accrued at 0.0538 hours per hour starting on day 1 of employment.
We partner with Colonial Life to offer supplemental insurance options such as accident, short-term disability, and whole life during our annual enrollment.
We have a 401(K) retirement plan available to all employees who are 21+ and have been employed for 6 months.
We offer Hilton employee room rates as well as Hilton family room rates that can be used based on availability at any Hilton location worldwide.
Work shifts: The breakfast attendant is an early morning shift.

Job Responsibilities

The daily job duties

• Setting up the daily continental breakfast
• Ensuring the breakfast items are well stocked
• Clean entire breakfast area, including vacuuming breakfast area and scrubbing kitchen floors
• Providing personalized service to all guests
• Taking inventory of food, beverages, and supplies needed for each day
• Preparing foods, such as cut fruit, coffee, and juices from concentrate
• Stocking coffee, juice, and milk machines or dispensers
• Setting out/arranging cold food, such as sweet rolls, muffins, and cereal for self-service
• Clearing and cleaning tables as they are vacated
• Wiping up spills
• Heating required foods to safe levels and maintaining by taking temps as required by health department.
• Removing trash
• Restocking self-service food and supplies as needed
• Washing serving equipment and returning it to proper location.
• Returning reusable food supplies to storage

Required Skills and Qualifications

The Requirements

• Washington State Food handlers’ card
• Exceedingly organized and efficient with the ability to multitask
• Ability to communicate effectively with guests regarding breakfast offerings and basic hotel information
• Must be able to work independently
• Motivated to achieve excellent customer service
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time
• Lift up to 25lbs
• Bend, squat, stoop, reach and grasp
