What The Role Is
The Branch Banking Development Manager supports career and skill growth within the Community Bank branch network by creating and overseeing a program that supports the sales culture and processes. Create and execute a defined program for development and growth focused primarily on the Branch leadership group. This leader will work with executive management to develop and implement sales training for bankers and branch management to meet and exceed sales and service performance goals. This position will lead other development specialists and will assist with the creation of a training curriculum focused primarily on existing teammates. This position requires expert knowledge of instructional design that will reinforce performance standards for full-service branch banking. The ability to inspire and coach sales team leaders to achieve and exceed established goals is paramount. This position reports to the Director of Training and Development, and will work closely with the Branch Banking Training Manager.
How You will Make an Impact
The Branch Banking Development Manager will make an impact by leading a development program for our branch banking teams, specifically with our leaders, such as Branch Managers and Group Sales Managers. Supporting the career development of our branch banking teams will empower high-performing professionals who are able to meet and exceed the expectations of our customers and the communities we serve.
Lead the development, coordination and delivery of the Cadence Bank Engage customer-focused sales process that will improve branch productivity and teammates’ career growth.
Develops, implements and recommends leadership training for branch banking leaders and their teams.
Supervise and deliver training curriculum in a virtual environment in addition to in-market training where needed.
Coach and develop leaders on best practices to enhance the sales culture and career development of team members.
Partners with senior Community Bank leadership to craft development plans with the intention to promote career growth and better performance pertaining to profitability, productivity and customer experience.
Who You Are
Management and leadership experience with a focus on training and/or development of employees.
Proven track record of developing teams or subordinates.
Project management experience with a strong attention to detail.
Experience delivering curriculum covering a range of training techniques and behaviors.
Proven experience working and leading in a virtual/hybrid environment to include articulation of complex subjects through a video conferencing platform.
Ability to create and guide the creation of development resources and materials.
Collaboration experience across multiple departments or lines of business.
Demonstrate the ability to efficiently manage multiple priorities under time constraints.
Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Google suite, Microsoft Office software. In addition, the ability to learn training tools/applications used in content development.
Ability to travel, occasionally overnight.
Education
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education/ job experience and related training.
Advanced degree(s) and/or certification(s) related to employee development or related disciplines preferred.
Experience
Five years leadership, management or training experience required in a progressive sales and service environment.
Thorough knowledge of consumer and commercial banking products and services.
Strong written, verbal and communication skills
Knowledge and understanding of advanced training/development techniques and instructional design preferred.
Demonstrated experience of leading multiple concurrent priorities under time constraints.
Foundational knowledge of operational and compliance processes and regulations.
Proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Software and the Google suite.
