Job description

We're looking for professional Truck Drivers to join our team and transport goods within the and 60-150 mile radius of Charlotte,NC on time and safely. The successful candidate will be required to operate trucks up to 24ft feet in length and 24,000 pounds in weight, maintain a log book of driving hours, follow all applicable rules of the road and be a team player who communicates well with fellow drivers and load men. This position requires regular interstate travel and a valid driver's license, so make sure you are legally eligible to operate heavy vehicles before you apply.

Responsibilities:

• Drive a commercial motor vehicle to deliver cargo to its destination.
• Drive a vehicle.
• Be flexible in work hours and adapt to different situations.
• Operate a manual or Automatic transmission.
• Perform administrative duties such as completing paperwork and filing reports.
• Learn state and federal regulations for truck drivers.
• Recognize road hazards and avoid potential accidents.
• Interact with others in normal business situations.
• Drive at night.
• Handle basic problems effectively.
• Driver will need to be able to assist with load man in the unloading of product at job sites and capable of lifting heavy products

Requirements:

• Must have a valid driver’s license with clean driving history. (Note: All candidates will be screened through our insurance company before job offer is made).
• Must be able to lift 120 pounds or more.
• Must be able to work 5-day workweek.
• Must be able to work overtime, including weekends if needed.
• Must be able to read, write, speak English and have legible handwriting.
• Must be able to communicate to supervision in a timely fashion if problems or questions should arise.
• Must be willing to follow all safety procedures and work in a safe manner.
• Must be able to work in a results-oriented, fast-paced environment as part of a team.
• Must be able to pass a drug test and DOT Physical.
• Perform other tasks as requested.

License/Certification:

• Driver's License
• CDL (Preferred not required)
• Green card holders may apply
