BOTE was founded in Destin, FL with the purpose of reshaping the standup paddle board industry from what was largely identified as surfing offshoot to a distinct culture built on conceptually simple, aesthetically pleasing and functionally innovative products that would appeal to people from all walks of life. The Store Manager will report to the Director of Retail Development and is responsible for hiring and developing a team of highly skilled retail professionals that together with the community celebrate the outdoors in everything they do- paddling, boating, hiking, fishing, hunting and so much more. This role will set the bar for establishing and sustaining each visual and operating standard that drives results, delivering best in industry standards for sales, key performance indicators and a respectable profit and loss statement.

This role will be a key business partner for the BOTE organization working collaboratively with other store managers, and members of HQ. This role will set the bar for all employees working to continually elevate the brand experience preparing for scale at each touch point. The physical space and each interaction in store bring the BOTE brand to life by creating a vibe that appeals to every sense. Each BOTE experience is unique, authentic, and spirited and will plant the seeds for building strong and lasting relationships across North America.

The Store Manager will be active in the community creating unique experiences on and off the property that surprise and delight the customer. Music festivals, demonstrations, community events, artist and ambassador collaborations and pop-up shops are just a few of the ways BOTE shows up to build lasting relationships with the brand.

Responsibilities:

· Create a store experience for the internal and external customer that is unique and authentic to the BOTE Brand, one that is highly collaborative, spirited, and genuinely committed to the brand, its mission, and its values.

· Establish store operating and visual standard that sets the bar for best-in-class experiences and financial results that are transferrable and repeatable.

· Act with urgency and communicate with clarity the needs of business, that protect the brand, its people, the community, and its customer.

· Be the brand ambassador, know the products, as a BOTE authority. Get to know each company brand ambassador, share their experiences as well as your own.

· Share the brand story and enjoy bringing the brand and its products to life one interaction at a time with a commitment to planting seeds and building strong roots.

· Accepts and leads the way for continuous improvements that drives sales and elevates customer experiences by embracing change as the brand continues to evolve.

· Committed to growing the business, works to build high standards for people, products, processes, and service in store by setting a high bar for improved efficiencies.

· Working collaboratively with the Outfitter Team delivers sales goals and KPI results on time and on target. Ultimately growing sales contributions daily, monthly, and annually year over year.

· Plays a key role in creating the culture in store for all operating standards, staying connected to all business programs and procedures mitigating risk to the business, its people, and its data.

· Initiate and stand-up community activations by getting engaged locally and working to support all local events, and other iterations where the BOTE brand shows up.

Candidates must have the ability to be persuasive, form relationships, tailor the message and deliver information to a variety of audiences including customers, employees, and executives. Experience generating new business in the current marketplace and in new markets is a must. Experience:

· 3+ Years Experience in Retail Leadership

· Experience in operating million dollars businesses is desired. Understanding the operational standards of a fast paced rapidly growing business will be a key to flourishing in the environment.

· Track record of driving significant revenue and profit growth. In addition, the idea candidate will have proven brand building experience.

· Outdoor & sporting goods experience preferred.

· Strength of character and cultural fit. This includes the capability and backbone to provide honest and reasonable dissent, taking an unpopular stance if necessary. He or she will thrive in an open and non-hierarchical environment that requires a high degree of interaction among functions. The ideal candidate will bring a high drive but low ego.
