This long-term contract / temporary to hire Bookkeeper role will be located in the Massapequa, New York area. - Supervise bookkeeping policies and procedures, along with developing a framework to track financial transactions with an established chart of accounts
- Oversee and manage general ledger
- Put together financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information
- Craft Accounts Receivable invoices, reviewing payments received, and record deposits
- Oversee accounts by verifying, allocating, and posting transactions
- Look after archived records by categorizing documents
- Appease accounts by balancing entries
- Previous experience as a Bookkeeper preferred
- BS Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration preferred
- Knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP)
- Demonstrated knowledge of Sage 300
- General familiarity with Microsoft Excel
- Comprehensive knowledge of Accounts Receivable (AR)
- Foundational knowledge in general ledger
- Strong familiarity with billing
- Adeptness in union reports
- Certified Payroll experience
- Experience using accounting software
