Who are we looking for?

As a major supporting role for the Team Leader (CEO), the MCA serves as the Director of Operations / Book Keeper for the Market Center. As a key player in a small business, the MCA wears a lot of hats and thrives in an environment that is fast-paced, constantly changing, and moving. At the same time, she has the ability to slow down and ensure that details are not missed in key situations.

The MCA manages the operations of the office alongside a small and growing team. The MCA is the boots on the ground for the regional MCA and supports the MCA to oversee that its staff is working in their strength zones, helping to achieve the goals for growth, culture, and profitability.

The MCA supports the CEO in the office specific to the value proposition and systematizes and manages the delivery of that value to the agents. They own all things operational in the office. This includes finances, agent services, facilities, technology, equipment, supplies, systems, project management, and more.

As the gatekeeper to the executive team (OP/TL/ATL) the MCA serves as the first point of executive team contact for agent concerns in the office. The MCA takes a stand to provide the best possible services for all of our agents and their clients. The MCA is responsible for making sure the resources that we offer at the office are known The MCA views agents as partners and clients, seeking to build and strengthen relationships to help the agents’ businesses and the market center grow.

The MCA is an individual who is a rapid problem solver, who easily and quickly learns from their environment, and who helps to build and improves upon efficient work structures and works adeptly within those structures. They are able to think through a problem or solution in order to present it logically to others and enjoy a variety of responsibilities in a changing environment. They strive to cultivate trust and goodwill through effective communication and are concerned about doing what is right according to the standards of the Market Center.

The MCA must be an independent decision maker, self-sufficient, and self-directed in their activities while understanding their activities must be in complete alignment with the goals of Keller Williams, and the rest of the Market Center leadership team.

What will you do?

Your 20 percent—or your core activities that will drive your greatest results:

  • Assist in all aspects of the Market Center financials
  • Process commission payments and related bank deposits
  • Prepare/oversee the preparation of Disbursement Authorizations for Associate Commission payments
  • Prepare Daily Company Dollar Report
  • Help to share the Market Center value story
  • Perform accounts payable and receivable processes
  • Perform supporting functions in month-end closing processes
  • Complete month-end closings
  • Assist with other aspects of the Market Center financials as needed

Essential duties and responsibilities

  • Ensure associates are paid accurately and timely
  • Utilize systems and checklists per defined frequency to consistently execute job responsibilities

Communications/Interactions

  • Team Leader, Assistant Team Leader, MCA, Director of Agent Experience, Director of First Impressions - daily
  • Sales Associates – daily
  • Designated Broker, Managing Broker – as needed

Management Responsibilities

  • As developed

Knowledge/Skills

  • College graduate with a major in Accounting or a similar field
  • Must have 2 or more years of work experience at an accounting firm or as a management accountant, bookkeeper, or similar
  • Computer skills

Experience working a reception area and phone a plus. Hours are Monday - Friday 8:30 to 5:30. Due to the volume of resumes received, not all will receive replies. Those applicants with potential will receive an email to complete a Personality assessment (the KPA).
