Purpose of the Position:

To provide supervision, staff training, some direct instruction to clients using individualized programs, curricula development and programming, parent coaching, new program development, research and data management.

Title: Clinical Director (BCBA)

Department: Clinical

Responsible to: Managing Clinical Director

Type: Part Time and Full Time Positions Available - this is an in-clinic/in-person position.

Locations: Clinic-based positions available in Bethesda, MD and Tysons Corner, VA

Compensation: Salary based on experience. Other benefits include paid time off, 11 paid holidays, medical/dental/vision insurance, paid professional liability insurance, 401(k), Health Flexible Spending Account, Dependent Care FSA, CEU/license reimbursement.

Responsibilities:

Oversee client cases, including but not limited to, the following:

  • Conduct intakes and behavioral assessments
  • Write, implement, and maintain skill acquisition, behavior reduction programs, and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs), as well as discharge and transition plans using Central Reach, monitor and analyze data
  • Review Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), attend IEP meetings, and consult with parents and teachers
  • Provide direct 1:1 ABA service on occasion
  • Develop and implement Parent Coaching and participate in meetings with caregivers

Supervise ABA therapists, including but not limited to, the following:

  • Supervise Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) and provide feedback using an empirically based protocol.
  • Train RBTs and BCaBAs, and meet regularly with clinical teams to discuss client goals and progress

Company-wide collaboration with other BCBAs in the areas of protocol and policy development

Represent Optimal Beginnings at conferences through attendance, networking, and presentations (as needed)

Develop and implement client goals for Groups.

Requirements:

  • Must be licensed or willing to become licensed as an LBA in Virginia and Maryland.
  • Must maintain an active CPR certification
  • Must be able to work between the hours of 9 AM to 6:30 PM, Monday-Friday (based on training needs or client needs)
  • Must have reliable transportation and be willing to travel around your specified geographic region

Qualifications:

  • Experience/training with in-clinic Applied Behavior Analysis and Autism Spectrum Disorders preferred
  • Experience in early intervention beneficial
  • Experience working with typically developing children beneficial
  • Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be flexible, creative, and demonstrate strong organizational skills
  • Must be highly motivated and self-directed
  • Must possess leadership qualities
  • Must be energetic and love working with children
  • Must be willing to sit on the floor with children and physically be able to lift children (up to 80 pounds) if necessary
  • Ability to use a variety of computer-based programs including Microsoft Office. Familiarity with Central Reach is helpful.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $65,000.00 - $83,000.00 per year
