Schuler-Haas Electric, a local electrical company with offices across Upstate NY is looking to hire a highly motivated BIM Associate for our Ithaca, NY office.

The ideal candidate has:

- Familiarity with the following technologies:

o Revit

o Navisworks

o BIM360

o Microsoft Suite

o Bluebeam

- A good understanding of the construction industry

o Field experience is a plus, but is not required

- Ability to read and understand construction documents/drawings

- Ability to think creatively and problem solve

- Commitment to following instructions and meeting deadlines

- Strong attention to detail

- An Associates degree or higher in Construction Technology, Drafting and Design, or related fields is preferred

What to expect in this role:

- Communicate regularly with field and office staff for design of electrical work

- Develop and/or alter BIM models for multiple projects

- Coordinate with other trades regularly

- Troubleshoot clashes between mechanical, electrical and architectural bodies

- Be on construction sites when tasked with jobsite layout

- Manage project documentation, including shop drawings

- Assist in implementing new technologies

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
