Billing System Application Developer
Job description
Under moderate supervision and following standard procedures with some independent judgment, develops, encodes, tests, debugs, documents, and installs programs to support business applications by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
1. Analyze, develop and lead the execution of efficient and cost effective project plans for system design within limited area of responsibility.
a. Assist with project plan by gathering, analyzing and making recommendations based on technical input. Limited coordination with Business Analyst throughout project lifecycle.
b. Be the subject matter expert within limited area of responsibility.
c. Maintain a mutual understanding of project direction with project team.
d. Balance project priorities and ensure deadlines are met.
2. Design technical solutions by interfacing with internal resources within limited area of responsibility.
a. Create and maintain supporting documentation for application features and functions.
b. Assist in the design and development of high-level functional requirements for enhancements of applications, products, and services.
3. Develop, maintain and support entry level programs to meet specifications within limited area of responsibility.
a. Analyze and create efficient data structures
b. Build an understanding of relationships and interfaces.
c. Conduct analysis and testing to identify program errors.
d. Analyze and improve application performance.
4. Unit test and implement the application, product, and/or service within limited area of responsibility as well as provide support throughout project lifecycle.
a. Assist in defining detailed test plan and acceptance criteria.
b. Participate in problem definition, analysis, and development of solutions.
c. Provide quality assurance.
5. May provide leadership to junior staff through guidance and training.
6. Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Skills
Required Experience
- Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; or four to six years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- A minimum requirement for this position is the ability to work legally in the United States. No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including for any type of U.S. permanent residency (green card) process.
