The Billing Clerk will be responsible for creating financial documents like credit memos and invoices for customers to receive. Their duties include processing bills from clients or customers, overseeing the review of month balances across departments and maintain organized financial records of invoices and other documents. JOB SUMMARY:
- Calculates costs for goods, services, and delivery/shipment of goods
- Verifies accuracy of billing data, correcting any errors
- Creates itemized statements, bills, invoices, and other necessary billing documents, which may require calculation of credit terms, shipping charges, discounts, and costs of goods
- Records amounts due for items purchased or services rendered
- Performs general bookkeeping work, which may include entering data and maintaining records, invoices, and supporting documents of amounts due for items purchased or services rendered
- Generates shipping labels and billing documents
- Contacts customers to obtain, verify, and update account information when necessary
- Generate sales and use tax compliance, and monthly journal entries, including reviewing invoices for use tax, in house returns, and gathering data for monthly compliance
JOB QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 2+ years of experience of relevant experience in billing clerk
- Quick Books required
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel preferred
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and random drug screening
- Customer Service/Relationship/Communication
Pay: $17-19/hr
