In this role, the Site Supervisor reports directly to the Site Manager and leads the development, implementation, and application of Bluegrass and customer’s production and warehouse systems in demanding manufacturing and warehousing environments. The Supervisor must have the ability to work with customers, team members, suppliers, and with Accounting and Human Resources on various aspects of multiple projects. The Supervisor must have strong training and interpersonal communication skills to establish and maintain strong working relationships both internally and externally. This role also involves training and evaluating team members as well as being able to observe forklift operators.

Duties and Responsibilities:*

• Lead and continually develop team members
• Ownership of meeting production goals
• Safely operate sit down forklifts and ensure that other operators are following safety protocol
• Oversee packaging and other value added production lines
• Support and assist with cause investigations and track corrective action with Human Resources
• Ensure that safety, delivery, and quality standards are being met at all times
• Maintain professional communication with customers and team members
• Track attendance of the team members

You’ll also need to have:

• Ability to multitask at a high level
• Observe other forklift operators with an emphasis on safety and skill level
• Attention to detail
• Ability to coach and assist employees in reaching their highest productivity.
• Hands on leadership skills to be actively involved in the production process.

Education and Experience:

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• The ability to effectively communicate in Spanish is highly desirable
• An Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a logistics related field is preferred
• Value added warehousing experience a plus.
