Position Summary:
Work closely with underwriting and implementation on the account management and renewal of all AlphaStaff client sponsored plans. This position interacts with the assigned book of business, the carriers, AlphaStaff Underwriting Team and the Benefit Operations Team.
Responsibilities:
- Subject Matter Expert for open market Client Sponsored Plan carriers and plans.
- Work closely with the assigned clients to develop a strategy for all benefits renewals.
- Prepare benefit and financial illustrations, along with PowerPoint presentations when needed for pre-sale and renewal process.
- Thorough knowledge of open market carriers for plan design, underwriting guidelines and implementation process and timelines.
- Thorough knowledge of our Supplemental & Worksite Product offerings.
- Conduct carrier product training for Internal AlphaStaff EEs as needed.
- Work closely with the Benefits Operations Team to implement all renewals through hand-off.
- Work closely with Benefits Operations Manager to assist with product questions for ongoing management of the client account.
- Work closely with Benefits Manager and Agency Manager on the annual renewal of the benefit plans for each client and implementing new rates and changes.
- Maintain prospect and client data and updates in Salesforce.
- Work closely with Market Development to create and update collateral materials as needed for each client.
- Manage a book of business with a focus on sales and retention to include commission and bonus opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Candidate should have an active 215 insurance license.
- Some knowledge of underwriting with 3+ years of carrier, agency or PEO experience.
- Knowledge of alternate funding strategies.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft office, including advanced Excel.
- Experience with Salesforce.
- Strong follow up skills, detail oriented and relationship driven.
