ACE Healthcare, Philadelphia / Upper Darby PA is currently seeking a PT/FT Behavioral Support Specialist. The ideal candidate would have a minimum of 2 years experience as a licensed Behavioral Specialist and knowledge of ODP regulations preferred

MANDATORY:

  • Master’s Degree or higher in Psychology, Special Education, Counseling, Social Work, Education, Applied Behavior Analysis or Gerontology. Must provide a Copy of Master's Degree if it indicates the field of study. If diploma does not indicate field of study, official or unofficial transcripts indicating major and coursework should be provided.
  • PA Behavior Specialist License - Must provide a copy of PA Behavior Specialist License
  • Training in conducting and using Functional Behavioral Assessment (FBA) & in positive behavioral support
  • Clean Driving Record / Drivers License
  • Reliable vehicle
  • Child Abuse, Criminal, and FBI Clearances

JOB DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITY:

  • Create/update/Implement an initial behavioral support plan including conducting a comprehensive assessment of behavior and its causes and an analysis of assessment findings of the behavior(s) to be targeted so that an appropriate behavioral support plan may be designed;
  • Collaborates with the participant, his or her family, and his or her service plan team for the purpose of developing a behavioral support plan that must include positive practices and least restrictive interventions;
  • Create/update/Implement an individualized, comprehensive behavioral support plan consistent with the outcomes identified in the participant's service plan, within 60 days of the authorization start date of the Behavioral Support service in the service plan.
  • Create/update/Implement a crisis intervention plan on how the Supports Coordinator and other appropriate waiver service providers will be kept informed of the precursors of the participant’s challenging behavior, and the procedures/interventions that are most effective to deescalate the challenging behaviors.
  • Meet with the participant, the Supports Coordinator, others as appropriate, including family members, providers, and employers.
