Madden Industrial Craftsmen is seeking a Millwright for a repair and manufacturer of heavy industry equipment client in Portland, OR. The person in this role will be responsible for mechanical repairs of shop equipment. This is a great opportunity to join a team that offers 2 different apprentice programs!
Shift: M-F 3:30-11pm Pay: $25-$35/hr DOE
Millwright Responsibilities:
- Mount and dismount large bearings
- Disassemble and reassemble paper machine rolls and wind turbine main shafts
- Set tapered bearing clearance and install straight bearing fits
- Mechanical repairs of equipment
- Lift, push and pull up to 50 pounds
Millwright Qualifications:
- 5+ years’ of hands-on mechanical repair experience
- Work independently and with a team
- Knowledge and accuracy with ID and OD micrometers
- Pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check
