Speakeasy/Special Event Bartender
JOB SUMMARY

We are looking for an experienced bartender to work in both our cafe and event space, as well as in our speakeasy, Emerson and Oliver. Emerson and Oliver is a classic era speakeasy that is modern and timeless. We are looking for a bartender who has a thorough knowledge of craft cocktails and a refined personality. This person must demonstrate being capable of performing calmly in a stressful yet intimate environment. They will have an excellent memory, and be able to demonstrate exceptional customer service. Bartender showmanship skills are also an advantage. All bartenders will have up to date Basset and food handling certificates.

We envision and then taste, tweak and package everything by hand. We are committed to using organic ingredients, no preservatives and creating amazing flavors. Our growing wholesale business complements our recently opened Cafe and retail space. We are seeking people who want to help us build a great and fun business of crafting unique, high quality food products that people love!

MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Communicate with other servers and event organizers
• Mix craft cocktails and serve non-alcoholic beverages
• Interact with customers, take orders and serve food and drinks
• Assess bar customers’ needs and preferences and make recommendations
• Make drink recommendations for drink menu
• Shift set-up and clean up
• Clean up venue after event ends and assist with inventory, food storage and other closeout tasks
• Check customers’ identification and confirm it meets legal drinking age
• Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies
• Comply with all food and beverage regulations
• Will be cross-trained as barista in the event needed to fill in or to assist baristas while bartending in the cafe

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Friendly personality
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment
• Ability to work effectively as a team member and as an individual
• Must be 21 years old
• Previous experience highly preferred
