Yellow King Brews is a unique coffee experience. We take a fresh and fun approach to coffee in order bring the social aspect back to coffee. If you’ve seen our instagram we create a lot of different types of coffee drinks. We are extremely fast paces on the weekends and have a lot of customers who have never visited our shop before. Excellent customer service skills are a requirement as each employee is a brand ambassador.

In addition to the coffee shop aspect of the business, we are also a bar that specializes in serving CT Craft Beer and Coffee Cocktails. Each employee is required to learn the most popular cocktails. Even though Yellow King Brews offers a full liquor bar, the business is foremost a coffee company first. Our cocktails are designed with the coffee menu in mind and are created to compliment the coffee house. We focus on supporting the CT Craft Beer industry by working with the breweries directly through self distribution and with the major distributors that offer CT Craft Beer.

As a bar supervisor here, you will be expected to learn as a barista in order to understand the business better. With this knowledge you will be expected to create cocktail lists that properly reflect the business’ brand.

Other duties include:

-Conducting liquor inventory & order

-Creating and Analyzing status reports and debriefing management on said reports every week.

-Creating Cocktail & Coffee menus every season with management team

-Directly working with management team to ensure all orders are placed in a timely manner

-Educating all staff on proper technique

-Enforcing quality and consistency of ALL beverages

-Managing team of 2-7 people

-Efficiently managing influx of customers along with prep work throughout the day

-Cash management

MUST be willing to work the following tentative schedule:

Monday- 12 pm to 8:30 pm

Wednesday- 12pm - 8.30pm

Thursday- 3Pm to 11:30 pm

Friday- 3:30pm to 12AM

Saturday- 3:30pm to 12AM

The schedule may be subject to change in the future per discussions with management.

Position is paid hourly with potential for bonuses.

Bonuses will be determined following a performance review bi-yearly with management.

Overtime is not available.

Yellow King Brews is a fairly new small business. Currently the company does not offer health benefits nor a retirement/401K plan. There is an employment perks program once employee probation period has ended
