Overview:

  • The Back-of-House Director plays a principal role in our ability to achieve operational excellence throughout our organization. The BOH Director is specifically focused on leading Team Members in delivering REMARKable food to our guests in a clean, food safe, and well functioning back-of-house environment. Their leadership directly contributes to creating a strong food safety culture and ensuring all restaurant goals and objectives are achieved.


Talent

  • Assist in the Selection process of new Back of House Team Members.
  • Establish team goals
  • Identify potential leaders and assist in their ongoing development.
  • Communicate effectively and is proactive with sharing ideas, casting vision, and energizing the team with a positive mindset.
  • Create a LEAN culture
  • Create a culture of care and accountability by holding BOH Team members accountable to our uncompromising policy standards.
  • Train and develop Team Members in all areas and systems, serving alongside the Training Director for areas of focus.
  • Provide coaching and feedback to support the team as needed.
  • Schedule 30 Day feedback sessions with new Team Members and partner with the Training Director to give feedback.


Guest Experience

  • Ensure we are executing proper procedures in order accuracy and the Winning Hearts Everyday Strategy.
  • Protect the guest experience by ensuring packaging, food presentation, and food quality meets and exceeds Chick-fil-A standards.
  • Ensure BOH consistently and systematically meets cleanliness standards.
  • Use RQA, ROE, and CEM finding to ensure consistency and quality of products and behaviors.
  • Address areas needed for improvement immediately and serve alongside the Training Director to address missed opportunities and create an action list for improved outcomes.
  • Maintain a Strong Food Safety Culture.
  • Ensure Jolt is being completed daily and in an excellent way.
  • Maintain a clean and organized environment.
  • Ensure BOH Inventory is organized properly.
  • Partner with the Training Director to execute training and roll-out of new products.
  • Assess current systems and implement ideas for continuous improvement.


Sales & Brand Growth

  • Ensure speed and quality of food is upholding our Chick-fil-A brand standards.
  • Serve with the Catering Director to execute operationally excellent catering orders and systems.
  • Assist with outside events as needed.


Financial Return

  • Own Food Cost results for chicken, fries, and produce.
  • Labor Scheduling: Own labor percentage and productivity. Train Leaders on Labor Scheduling procedures, how to increase productivity, placing the right people in the right places, when to decrease staff, and send people home as needed.
  • Equipment Repair & Maintenance: Ensure and own the proper stewardship of FOH facilities.


Qualifications:

  • Ability to troubleshoot, problem solve, and make quick decisions on a daily basis.
  • Set goals and motivate a team towards achieving those goals.
  • Proven ability to recognize strengths and passions in others.
  • Desire to serve a team of all ages and skill levels.
  • Ability to serve well in a fast-paced, high volume environment.
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) interpersonal, teamwork, and leadership skills.
  • Desire to lead self and be developed as an individual.
  • Strong business acumen.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead multiple projects and prioritize time.


REQUIREMENTS

  • Must work at least 40 hours a week
  • Must have open availability, willing to work nights and weekends
  • Must be at least 18 years or older
  • Must have a high school degree or equivalent
