Advanced AeroTechnologies Group is one of aviation’s leading provider of high-quality avionics and maintenance service for over 20 years. Our business has expanded to 5 locations and we are looking for a full-time Avionics Installer in our Fernandina Beach, Florida location.

Reporting to the accountable management team. Performing avionics installations and line maintenance for general aviation aircraft singles and light twins and corporate jets. Applicant will perform 24-Month IFR/VFR checks and other routine avionics maintenance on aircraft. displaying the ability to perform the required tasks with minimal to no supervision in a timely manner.

APPLICANT MUST HAVE GARMIN INSTALL & SYSTEM KNOWLEDGE. ONLY APPLICANTS WITH PREVIOUS AVIONICS INSTALLATION, ROUTINE MAINTENANCE EXPERIENCE AND JOB REFERENCES WILL BE CONSIDERED.

Ensure the highest quality service, safety standards and performance, with the objective of exceeding customer satisfaction in the re-delivery of airworthy, reliable and clean aircraft, in a timely manner.

Job Duties:

  • Install and troubleshoot various avionics systems on general aviation aircraft
  • Able to take an install from start to finish with little guidance
  • Understand basic computer interface to avionics systems for software and database upgrades and perform said updates.
  • Understand and perform 24-Month IFR/VFR checks under supervision of qualified sign off authority until a repairman's license can be obtained.
  • Understand and follow OEM installation manuals and procedures.
  • Complete required paperwork following maintenance and installation functions.
  • Ensure compliance with FAA regulations under the company's Repair Station procedures

Education:

  • High School diploma or GED

Licenses/Certificates:

  • Airframe or A&P a bonus but not required.

Experience:

  • At least 3 years aircraft experience as an Avionics Technician -REQUIRED
  • Knowledge of equipment such as Garmin, L3, Avidyne, Aspen, Ect.
  • Experience installing the aforementioned equipment.
  • We are looking for a candidate that requires minimal training to perform required tasks.

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Strong leadership skills. Effective decision-making skills. Strong negotiating skills. Excellent written and oral communication skills in order to effectively interact with all levels of staff from different departments effectively. Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills in order to prioritize workload according to business demands and works well under pressure. Must have own tools. Is required to be proficient in oral and written English.
