Job description
FireTec, part of the SK AeroSafety Group, is a fast-growing and highly respected aviation company in Phoenix seeking repair technicians & mechanics for aircraft components. The ideal candidate has a strong mechanical aptitude, strong work ethic, positive attitude, good analytical & mechanical ability, and excellent attention to detail. Job Training will be provided for qualified applicants demonstrating an interest in entering the aviation industry.

This position requires an individual who is detail oriented with a strong work ethic. The successful candidates will be responsible for the repair and overhaul of aircraft fire extinguishers.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Knowledge, skills, and technical aptitude to build a product that meets specifications and exceeds customer expectations.
  • The technician is self-motivated.
  • The technician has excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Good eyesight and color vision, manual dexterity, and the ability to carry out complex, repetitive tasks quickly.
  • Must be able to lift 75-100 lbs.
  • Will be required to evaluate, disassemble, clean, inspect, assemble, and write up technical paperwork to ensure contractual and regulatory compliance.
  • Performs validation and verification testing of components.
  • Will be required to use specialty tools including torque wrenches, multimeter, mill or lathe, etc.
  • High school diploma or a general education degree (GED).
  • FAA Airframe and Powerplant License (A & P) are not required but would be beneficial.
  • Can read and interpret documents including safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedures, and manuals.
  • Math skills must include the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide into all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Will need computer knowledge to make computer entries.
  • Must be able to push, pull, tug (using hands and feet), bend, kneel, stoop, etc.
  • Must be able to complete various types of maintenance documents such as Test Results and In- Process Inspections in accordance with FAA & EASA Regulations and company policies.
Requirements:
  • Must be able to pass a drug and background screening and will be subject to random drug screening once hired into a safety-sensitive position.
Dayshift, M-F, 7 - 3:30. Overtime available. Benefits include PTO, holiday pay, 401k employer contribution, health insurance.2.
