Job details

We are looking to add an experienced auto technician or auto mechanic to the A&J Team. If this is you, send us your resume to become a valued part of a family owned and operated company! Monday - Friday work week. No Weekends! No evenings! We are the leading automotive mobility dealer in Wisconsin! Work for a place you can be proud to call home.

Essential Functions:

• Diagnose and repair automotive mobility vehicles.
• Properly inspect all vehicles for needed repairs and safety, addressing customer concerns.
• Complete necessary repairs and take vehicles for test drives to verify repair.
• Perform general vehicle repairs, product installation and servicing as directed by the Manager.
• Inform management of any issues found with vehicles, mobility equipment or shop equipment.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
• Overtime hours are typically offered.

Skills & Requirements:

Strong mechanical aptitude is needed for this position. Excellent communication skills are also a must for this position. This is a fast paced and ever changing position, so quick thinking and problem solving abilities are necessary for this position. A willingness to learn and apply your knowledge will ensure success. An excellent attendance record is also a must!

Qualifications:

• Desire to Help Others
• Achieve and maintain all training certifications as required by the dealer and manufacturer along with a working knowledge of current industry best practices in automotive repair
• Maintain legible and accurate paperwork for both the customer and dealership records per dealership and manufacturers policies and procedures
• Some ASE Certifications or willingness to become certified in certain categories within 1 year
• Automotive Electrical & Welding Experience is a plus.
• Some formal training and certifications (Preferred).
• Regular industry training is provided and pursuit of ASEs is supported
• Clean and maintain the work environment to ensure equipment longevity and workplace safety
• Ability to operate all auto repair and diagnostic tools
• State driver’s license with a clean driving record. (Required)
• Must be willing to undergo a background check
• High school diploma or equivalency
• Ability to develop strong positive constructive relations with co-workers, staff and our clientele
• Ability to work efficiently alone and in a team environment
• Minimum of 2 years automotive mechanical repair experience
• Ability to "Think Outside the Box"
