Pay Plan & Growth Track:
Our pay plan is commensurate with experience. This particular role ranges from $22-$25 per hour but technicians can make twice (2x) that with the appropriate skills as they learn and grow. Opportunities for advancement include multiple levels of technician, service technician, engineering, programming, and project management.

The Position:
We seek experienced audio-visual technicians in Orange County, California, to work in the construction of custom home theatres, media rooms, whole-home audio/video, integration, communication, and lighting control technologies. Please note this is not a qualifying position for apprentice hours.
Day-to-Day:
- Installation of residential and commercial audio, video and telecommunication components and systems in a neat, reliable and serviceable manner
- Troubleshooting and correction of system malfunctions/design
- Identifying, correcting and preventing improper component installations
- Knowledge of applicable FCC, NEC, OSHA and local building code standards in order to meet or exceed minimum levels of performance and to assure client confidence
- Assist Lead Tech in Final phase installations
- Initiating/monitoring the resolution of items on project punch-lists
- Possess a working knowledge of installed products and their alternatives
- Able to refer clientele and superintendents to the proper Audio Images personnel/associates when unable to promptly satisfy their needs
- Understanding of applied electronic theory (parallel/series calculations, wattage, impedance)
- Possess basic knowledge of Network set up
- Able to perform proper soldering techniques.
- Demonstrate a desire to advance professionally, and be a force for positive change.
Keys to Success:
- Strong general trade experience
- Finish experience
- Constructs, remodels, retrofits and repairs interior and exterior structures
- Maintains and services tools and equipment used in the performance of duties
- Uses power tools such as drills, saws, and nail guns plus hand tools such as hammers
- Reports to different work sites to complete required tasks/projects
- Delivers quality, efficiency, productivity and safe work practices
- Cleans and prepares construction sites to eliminate possible hazards
- Organizes building materials as needed
- Regular and reliable attendance
- Must have valid driver’s license and insurance
Have any bonus skills?:
- 2-3+ years of hands-on experience in networking and/or installing security, surveillance and access control systems desired
- Ability to predict and mitigate customer issues before they arise.
- Solid understanding of low-voltage and signal-flow
- Experience with control systems, including RTI, Crestron and Savant

The employee may require the ability to do the following:
- Lift 50 lbs. from ground and pull 50 lbs. of force
- Perform ladder climbing, wire pulling and conduit pulling
- Fully squat, stoop or kneel while wearing a 25 lbs. tool belt
- Maintain a standing position for long periods of time while performing repetitive actions such as grasping or manipulating wires
- Work off of ladders, man lifts or reach booms
